Occupations– Emergency Medicine
How long CrossFitting– About 4 years
What brought you in– Kids (Katie and Jonathan) started first, he came about 6 months later
How did you feel after your first WOD– Probably nauseous
Fav WOD/movement– Rope climbs, “Murph” (goal is to do it with a weighted vest)
Least fav WOD/movement– Thrusters
Background (athletics)– No high sports participation, but active now as a family in hiking, biking, skiing
Biggest reservation prior to joining– No idea what it was, but he knew he wanted to commit to it; also came in having never belonged to a gym or lifted a weight
Food– nothing specific
Favorite guilty pleasure– Ice cream
Biggest change you experienced since joining Agoge– Endurance, upper strength
Goals– Ring Muscle Up, Kipping Hand Stand Push Up
What advice would you give someone on the fence about starting crossfit– Try it and don’t pass any judgement for the first 6 months
What do you think about when doing hip circles in the joint prep warm-up– “Eyes down, don’t look across the room, don’t make eye contact.”

Warm Up:

3 rounds of:

300 m Row

12 Lunge Steps

10 PVC Press

8  Pushups

6  Knees to Elbow

4 Dips


Banded front rack stretch (90s each)

Empty BB “zombie” squats 3×5 reps

Eccentric pull ups- 2×5 reps


As Many Rounds as Possible in 10 Minutes of:

5 Front Squats (95/ 65)

5 Strict Press

5 Strict Pull Ups

 Tempo Work:

Every 30 sec for 8 rounds  perform 8 wall ball shots and 6 push ups
