Warm up:
Cone!: In pairs, athletes line up on either side of a cone. Listening carefully, both partners perform the movement called by the Trainer. When the word “Cone” is called, both partners try to be the one to snatch the cone up off of the ground.
Skill work:
Rope Pull Up and Hang: Start athletes standing in front of rope. Have them reach up as high as they can and grab onto rope. From here they will hang for as long as they can without using their feet. Upon second try you may have them try to do a strict pull up while hanging on the rope. This one is fun to turn into a game and see who can hang the longest and who can do the most rope “pullups”.
