2nd Annual UMTFC

SOLD OUT!

This year’s race is on Saturday, September 17th.

Spanning approximately six miles of the Uncompahgre National Forest (elevation 9500 ft) this scenic race course fluctuates between single track and four-wheeler trails. Teams run as a unit and complete both physical and cognitive challenges interspersed throughout the route. Challenges will not be revealed prior to race day, but might include high ropes, lifting, carrying, or throwing heavy objects, obstacles, or problem solving tasks.
Heres a quick peek at last years event:

Registration
There will be three categories of teams this year: Mens, Womens, and Co-ed (2 men/2 women).

This is an open event. You need not be a CrossFitter to compete. Entry fee is $30/per person and you must register all four members of the team at the same time. Substitutions can be made up until the week prior to race day as long as they do not change your category of entry. Registration is closed

Mandatory race day Registration will begin at 7am at CrossFit Agoge, located at 475 Water Ave in Montrose, Colorado. Competitors will be bused to and from the race course from this location. The first bus will leave at 7:30 taking the early competitors and two additional buses will follow at 8:00 and 8:30 respectively.

We hope to send the first team off the line at 8:30am and teams will launch every 3 minutes thereafter.

When we have enough to fill a return bus back to the gym we will start sending competitors down.

Volunteers
Please arrive at the gym at 6:15. We need to brief you all and get you up on the course in time for the first competitors.

After Party
There will be a post-race barbecue back in Montrose with the option to camp overnight.

Food will be provided by Big Head BBQ and the cost will be $10 per plate (including drinks). We encourage you, your friends, and family to stay and enjoy some good food and great company. The awards ceremony will take place during the party.

If you are interested in continuing the festivities into the nighttime hours, the Browns are opening up their 3-acre lot to anyone who wishes to camp out. There will be a grill and bonfire so bring some drinks, grillables, and/or roast-ables and make a night of it!

A very big thank you to our Race Sponsors
